Barbados: The Board of Management of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital announces that service to the Emergency Ambulance Service’s (EAS) 511 telephone number has been fully restored.
On Thursday, January 14, through Monday, January 18, the EAS encountered a temporary service interruption, which resulted in trouble receiving calls via its 511 number.
Notwithstanding, after a joint investigation by the QEH IT Department and Flow (Barbados), the interruption source was recognized, and the issue was swiftly resolved.
According to the latest update of COVID-19 in Barbados, January 14 saw an increment in the number of people testing positive for lethal coronavirus by 51 of 27 males and 24 females. Twenty people tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the information, the Total number of Cases at Dodds is 330. This is divided down into 81 staff cases, 50 males, 31 females. The total number of cases among prisoners is 249, and all are males.
Barbados government information service stated The Board of Management of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) announced that the general public that the advanced paid medication delivery service facilitated through the Barbados Postal Service and Hopscotch is individually for the delivery of medication for all out-patients of the hospital and does not include the dispensing or delivery of prescriptions issued by the polyclinics.
Philip Matthews commented, “We that depend on the Clinics are being treated like we do not matter ,we have to risk our lives catching Covid to get our medications, keep treating us disposable, and expect me to forget when the time to vote comes.”
“Please make the delivery system available to the polyclinics in the near future also, i’m sure many would happily pay the delivery fee,” commented John Gibson.
Other Facebook user commented, “So much money to be made on the delivery service and it is not being offered to the clinic patience,why.”
