The citizens of the country even extended appreciation towards the officials for their great efforts.
“Fantastic project, government working for the people, that is what is called government for the people,” mentioned one of the netizens.
In the month of December in 2023, the government handed over the keys of climate-resilient homes to 73 families. The keys were handed over to the families as a part of a Christmas gift. At the time, the Minister, Melissa Skerrit titled the initiative as “First Christmas in our new home 2023.”
The Housing Recovery Project was introduced by the Government of Dominica which aimed at replacing the destroyed houses by building resilience in the housing sector. Under this the Government projected handing over 5000 keys of resilient houses.
