St John’s, Antigua and Barbuda: Antigua and Barbuda National Secondary Schools’ Theatre Festival has recently shared a glimpse of the ABNSSTF 6- Drama Night 1, which was organised at Dean William Lake Cultural Centre.
The National Secondary School has shared some amazing photographs from the event and some shared exciting captions related to the same.
“The Drama has begun! Last evening four schools took the stage to bring drama, excitement, and entertainment. The Princess Margaret School presented “Skin Deep”, an original play, while the St Mary’s Secondary School presented an excerpt and adaptation of “The Tenant”,” which the National Secondary School of Antigua and Barbuda outlined.
It also mentioned that then the Sir Novelle Richards Academy and the Irene B Williams Secondary School presented improvisations.
Antigua and Barbuda National Secondary Schools’ Theatre Festival furthermore noted that improvisation is when the actors are asked to create a piece based on given stimuli, which could be a theme or objects; in this case, the schools were both given the same items and 10 – 15 minutes to create a performance, and they did not disappoint.
While inviting the people of the country to attend day two of the Drama Night, the school stated that in case one missed last night, have no worries; you can still catch the other schools in action. Tonight (Thursday, April 27th), the Ottos Comprehensive School and the Jennings Secondary School will take centre stage at the Dean William Lake Cultural Centre at 7 PM for the 6th Antigua and Barbuda National Secondary Schools’ Theatre Festival.
“See you there!” it stated while concluding the post.
Antigua and Barbuda National Secondary Schools’ Theatre Festival has also shared a glimpse of the 6 Dance Night, one of the events organised during the festival. “Last Night, the dancers did NOT come out to play. Antigua and Barbuda National Secondary Schools’ Theatre Festival 6 Dance Night was exceptional! All the performances were absolutely awesome, and in the end, students and instructors took to the stage together for a little dance jam session,” it noted while sharing a reel from the event.
