Air Canada to launch nonstop services to Trinidad, boosts international travel
Air Canada will offer four weekly flights under this launched service.

Air Canada is all set to offer its nonstop services between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), Canada to Piarco International Airport (POS), Trinidad, effective 1st May, 2025. These nonstop services will be offered by the aircraft Boeing 737 Max, aiming at enhancing connectivity between both the nations.
The airline will offer four weekly flights under this launched service. Furthermore, this service is expected to greatly increase travellers’ access to Trinidad and Tobago.
As per the flight schedule, the first Flight AC 984 will operate from Toronto to Port of Spain on four days including, Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Meanwhile, the return services from Port of Spain to Toronto will be provided by the Flight AC 985, operating on days including Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
The Minister of Tourism of Trinidad and Tobago, Randall Mitchell stated that these services would play a huge role in enhancing the appeal of the country for the international tourists. The Minister stated that they are committed to attract international visitors to explore the vibrant culture and diverse attractions of the country.
He stated that these services will play a huge role in opening doors to several opportunities for the citizens of the island nation. He aimed at developing several sectors such as tourism, business, and many more by creating employment opportunities and addressing unemployment gap of the country.
Minister Mitchell stated that the return of Air Canada to Trinidad and Tobago will play a huge role in creating a positive impact on the overall development of the island nation. Notably, the aircraft Boeing 737 Max 8 has the capacity to accommodate 169 seats, which ensures to offer comfortable travel experience to all their passengers.
He added that this route between Canada and Trinidad will provide access to all the travellers to enjoy the diverse cultural offerings of the island nation and enjoy hotspot destinations of the country.
Minister Mitchell continued to say that the airline will provide a crucial air link, and that is why they are aiming to welcome a large number of visitors from the Canadian market back to Trinidad and Tobago with open arms.
The Minister stated that they are looking forward to welcome a large number of passengers in order to offer warm and exceptional services to all the passengers for what Trinidad and Tobago is known for.
