4,070 COVID patients recovered in Dominica
The Health Ministry has released the COVID-19 update report, according to which 31 COVID-19 patients were discharged from the hospital facilities on October 20, 2021, taking the total number of the recoveries to 4070.

Roseau, Dominica: The Health Ministry has released the COVID-19 update report, according to which 31 COVID-19 patients were discharged from the hospital facilities on October 20, 2021, taking the total number of the recoveries to 4070.
The Health Ministry informed that a total of 52 individuals have tested positive for the contagious viral disease. With this, the total number of active cases has risen to 365.
Out of the new cases reported, all the individuals tested positive from Rapid Antigen Test. Since the COVID-19 outbreak emerged in the island country, a total of 4465 people have contracted the viral disease.
The Health Ministry’s report further notes that till October 20 2021, a total of 86865 COVID-19 tests have been conducted on the island. On the other hand, in total 30 people lost their lives to the contagious mutant.
The COVID-19 report further highlights the statistics of the COVID-19 vaccination; that is, a total of 27412 people have taken their first shot of the vaccine. While in total, 23579 individuals have received their second jab of the vaccine and are now fully vaccinated.
As per to the statistics, worldwide, so far, there are a total of 242,779,693 confirmed coronavirus cases. A total of 242,779,693 individuals have been recovered from the contagious mutant, and a total of 4,937,050 people scummed to the deadliest viral disease.

Besides this, the Health Ministry is continuously urging the citizens to take their doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible so as to win this battle against the coronavirus and asked them to follow the COVID-19 health protocols such as – wearing masks, sanitizing frequently, and maintaining social distance.
