Martine Moise back to Haiti from Florida after treatment

Martine Moise had returned to Haiti after getting treated for wounds she got during the attack that killed her husband and President of Haiti, Jovenel Moise. Martine Moise had been treated in Florida.

While Martin Moise landed at Port- au-Prince airport, she was wearing an arm sling and bulletproof jacket on Saturday. Assassins killed her husband, Jovenel Moïse, in their home on July 7.

After getting injured in the attack, Martin Moise’s health gets more worsen, and she was flown to a hospital in Miami, Florida, for treatment.

 Haitian official said Martin Moïse had returned to the country for preparation of her husband’s funeral next week.

Guarded by security agents, she had been pictured while being greeted by Interim Prime Minister Claude Joseph and other officials on the tarmac.

Martin Moïse had given several comments since she faced the attack and assassination of her husband. Police had blamed a group of foreign mercenaries, most of them were Colombians, for the assassination of President Jovenel Moise.

The assassinated President of Haiti would be buried on July 24. The announcement had been made by the Haitian government. It would be held in the city of Cap-Haïtien, north of here, where the 53-year-old former head of state was born.

Haiti must not “lose its way” after the tragedy that Haiti had experienced in past days and left Haiti critically injured. Martine Moise, the widow of assassinated Haitian President Jovenel Moise, stated.

Chairman of CARICOM PM Gaston Browne refused for the plan of military presence in Haiti. He expects that the country has been doing the investigation sufficiently to find the reason and person behind the assassination of their President Jovenel Moise, who was shot dead last Wednesday. 

21 presidential guards are being questioned by judicial police. At the same time, the Haitians have been going forward in their investigation of the assassinations of President Jovenel Moise 1 week ago at his private residence.
