Guyana: The Ministry of Labour is participating in Guyana Suppliers Forum launched on November 8, 2022 (Monday), at the Leonora Stadium, West Coast Demrara.
The Guyana Supplier Forum will be open to the public tomorrow, November 9, 2022. The labour ministry of Guyana has urged the citizens to visit the Ministry of Labour booth to receive information on skills training, recruitment, labour, OSH acts, and Coop Societies.
Earlier on Monday, Minister of Labour Joseph Hamilton briefly visited his team at the event, which consisted of Labour, Recruitment, Cooperative and Friendly Societies, Occupational Safety and Health and the Board of Industrial Training Officers.
Whilst there, the minister also engaged several local prime investors in the oil and gas sector.
The forum provides a unique platform for Guyanese suppliers to receive relevant information on the procurement process and critical contacts from Exxon Mobil and its leading Prime Contractors for Offshore Oil and Gas and the Gas to Energy Project.
The two-day event will conclude on November 9, 2022, and will be officially open to the public.
