Such an action by the government of a nation proves the dedication they are fostering through their work for the betterment of the public. Also, there was a need for this as the health issues among women are taking a surge these days.

World Cervical Cancer Awareness Month is live across the globe and the services introduced in the country are connected to it.

Cervical Cancer is a serious problem which develops in women’s Cervix. And the cervix is the entrance to the uterus from the vagina. Pap Smears is a screening test for Cervical Cancer. The test is necessary for sexually active women as Cervical cancer is the most common type, which is caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV).

It is the sexually transmitted infection which poses the need for sexually active women to have screening. The test can give a clear identification of the course of treatment required for the prevention of the progression of abnormal cells into cancer.

The highlight of the free screening shared by the Prime Minister reveals the concern of the authorities for the well-being of locals which even further contributes towards the overall development of the country.
