Afghanistan was shattered badly after the two bomb blasts at the Kabul International Airport. These blasts are said to be carried out by two suicide bombers of the Islamic State in Khorasan Province, ISKP (ISIS-K). The attack resulted in killing dozens, including 13 US troops, as President Joe Biden vowed to hunt down those responsible.
According to recent updates, the Pentagon said on Friday that a deadly attack at the gate to Kabul airport in Afghanistan yesterday was carried out by one suicide bomber, not two.
President Joe Biden warned that he would hunt down the terrorists and make them pay for the deadly attacks outside the Kabul airport in which 13 US military personnel were killed in action, and other 18 were wounded, but numbers are increasing.
President Joe Biden, while talking to reporters at the White House on Thursday, said, “To those who carried out this attack, as well as anyone who wishes America harm notice, we will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay. I will defend our interests and our people with every measure at my command.”
When many countries globally were carrying out the evacuations in Afghanistan before 31 August, that was the deadline. At that time, the bomb blasted.
Videos and images that got viral as soon after the bomb exploded at Kabul airport show dozens of bodies of people who were killed in tightly packed crowds outside the airport.
Along with the airport fence, a watery ditch was filled with blood-soaked bodies, some being fished out and laid in heaps on the canal side while wailing civilians searched for loved ones.
Zubair, a 24-year-old civil engineer who had been trying for a nearly week to get inside the airport with a cousin, said, “Men, women and children were screaming. I saw many injured people, men, women and children being loaded into private vehicles and taken toward the hospitals.”
