Dominica: Parliamentary Representative of Roseau Central – Melissa Poponne-Skerrit, recently shared a glimpse of the waste management drive carried out by the administration of the constituency.
She praised her reliable squad, which wisely performed the assigned tasks and efficiently executed the plan. The team distributed the bins in commercial and residential locations in Roseau Central.
“Proper waste management in Roseau city is vital as it plays a critical role in environmental sustainability. My reliable squad, Kenny G, the Zone Rouge and White House crew, truly understood the assignment and spearheaded the distribution of bins to residential and commercial locations within Roseau Central. Thank you guys,” the Parliamentary Representative of the constituency noted.
She furthermore extended thanks to the Dominica Solid Waste Management Corporation for their support in this initiative. “It is my wish that these receptacles will be used to effectively manage our waste. A special thanks go to Solid Waste Management for this initiative,” she added.
The Dominica Solid Waste Management Corporation (DSWMC) also expressed pleasure in working with the Roseau Central Constituency Parliamentary Representative Melissa Skerrit on keeping the environment clean.
The Ministry of Environment Rural Modernisation has assured that it will take clean-up and upliftment of Kalinago Community. The clean-up activities at the highway will be effective from 12th September 2022.
Owners of Derelict and Abandoned vehicles are cordially informed that the Dominica Solid Waste Management Corporation will be undertaking the removal of derelict vehicles as part of the project.
