CSG Patricia Scotland extends condolences to Royal Family after demise of Queen Elizabeth II

Patricia Scotland, has took to her social media shortly after the official announcement of the Monarch’s demise to extend her heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family, His Majasty King The Government and the people of the United Kingdom following the death of the head of the countr and the Commonwealth, Queen Elizabeth II.

Patricia Scotland, has took to her social media shortly after the official announcement of the Monarch's demise to extend her heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family, His Majasty King The Government and the people of the United Kingdom following the death of the head of the countr and the Commonwealth, Queen Elizabeth II.

The Secretary General of the Commonwealth – Patricia Scotland, has took to her social media shortly after the official announcement of the Monarch’s demise to extend her heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family, His Majasty King The Government and the people of the United Kingdom following the death of the head of the countr and the Commonwealth, Queen Elizabeth II.

On her Twitter Account, The Secretary General, Patricia scotland wrote: “It is with the greatest sorrow and sadness that (the commonwealth) mourn the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. After a long life of faith, duty and service, a great light has gone out.”

She added that Her Majesty was an extraordinary person, who lived an extraordinary life, guiding and serving us all.” 

CSG Patricia Scotland has paid her tribute to the departed soul of Queen Elizabeth by releasing a statement through which she seeks to convey her fondness and respect for Queen Elizabeth, an excerpt from her tribute to the departed queen read: Throughout her reign, and seven decades (70 Years) of extraordinary change and challenge, Her Majesty (Queen Elizabeth) was the epitome of duty, stability, wisdom and grace.

Secretary General Patricia Scotland further noted that, Her Majesty loved the Commonwealth, and the Commonwealth loved her. During her time on the throne, she travelled more than any monarch in history, visited every part of our family of nations. Between the years 1971 and 2018, the queen missed only one Heads of Government Meeting. The queen’s devotion to her duty was only matched by her skill as Head of the Commonwealth of Nations. The secretary general termed the queen as a generous host and consummate diplomat.

Further in her Tribute, The Secretary General of Commonwealth stated that, In 1947, before she ascended to the throne, she had declared that “Whether my life be long or short I will dedicate it to the service of the Commonwealth.” Her Majesty the queen certainly honoured that promise.
