Caribbean Airlines partners with Antigua and Barbuda for Carnival, welcomes several passengers

Antigua and Barbuda: Caribbean Airlines partnered with the Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission and Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority for the highly-anticipated Antigua Carnival 2024 and brought large number of travellers to the island nation.

Antigua Carnival which is running from 25th July and will continue till 6th August 2024 has featured a special activation event on August 1 in order to extend warm welcome to the visitors, arriving at the Antigua airport.

Caribbean Airlines orchestrated an exciting and memorable experience for all the passengers as they arrived at the VC Bird International Airport for the carnival celebrations of the island nation. The passengers and guests were offered with plethora of experience as an MC was accompanied by a DJ with a vision to entertain and engage all the passengers.

Also, all the guests were given an opportunity to enjoy the electrifying musical performances by Iron Band, a steelpan band, and various cultural performers. The authorities also held events like Traditional Carnival Characters and The Carnival Queen and costumed model in order to foster the customs and traditions of Antigua and Barbuda.

Moreover, the Caribbean Airlines in collaboration with Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission and Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority provided welcome bags to the passengers which were filled with branded merchandise of Caribbean Airlines.

The visitors were also offered with some exclusive giveaways such as two Caribbean Airlines tickets to any destination, courtesy of Caribbean Airlines, Antigua & Barbuda Carnival Passports – a season pass to all of the official Carnival events, a tour with Tropical Adventures, courtesy of the Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority, Special local treats and branded giveaways, courtesy of the Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority or a two-night stay for two at the new Royalton CHIC Resort, courtesy of the Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority.

Following this collaboration, the CEO of Caribbean Airlines, Garvin Medera also emphasised on the commitment of the airlines towards promoting vibrant culture and traditions of the Caribbean region. Along with that, he also shared that he is extremely happy to be a part of the Greatest Caribbean Summer Festival, “Antigua Carnival 2024.” For the same, he has promised to enhance the overall travel experience of all their passengers by providing them with the special airport activation.

The Chair of the Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission, Elizabeth Makhoul extended gratitude to Caribbean Airlines for their commitment and dedication towards promoting vibrant festivals. While appreciating them, he added their contribution towards promoting Antigua Carnival is truly “invaluable.”

While shedding light on their partnership with Caribbean Airlines, the Director of Tourism for the Caribbean and Latin America at the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, Charmaine Spencer stated that they have witnessed several of benefits of the new routes and direct connectivity with the Airlines. He further added that they are looking forward to build their relation with Caribbean Airlines in future with developmental and strategic partnerships.
