Caribbean Airlines cancels flights to and from Kingston on November 5 due to Tropical Storm Rafael
Caribbean Airlines has cancelled four flights operating between Kingston and New York, St. Maarten and Kingston respectively.

Jamaica: Caribbean Airlines has announced the cancellation of all the flight operations into and out of Kingston for Tuesday, 5th November, 2024. The airline has cancelled the flight route due to the Tropical Storm Rafael, ensuring the safety and security of all the passengers and the crew members.
As per the details, Caribbean Airlines has cancelled four flights operating between Kingston and New York, St. Maarten and Kingston respectively. The flights that have been cancelled by the airline include Flight BW 005 providing service from Kingston to New York and its return flight, BW 006.
Along with that, the services between St. Maarten and Kingston have also been disrupted due to the cancellation of the flight by Caribbean Airlines. Flight BW 416 offers services from the route of St. Maarten to Kingston and its return services from the Flight BW 417 has also been cancelled.
The Caribbean Airlines has ensured that they are contacting the affected passengers in order to re-accommodate them on their recovery services. They mentioned that the information on the recovery services delivered by them will be given in a subsequent update as the weather conditions improve.
The Airline added that all the affected passengers by the cancellation of the flight services must waive their fees for tickets to be rebooked in the same cabin. They also have given the liberty to the passengers that they can rebook on their service up to 2nd December 2024 without any penalty.
The Airline asserted that it will not be responsible for transportation to/from an alternate airport as the affected passengers will bear their hotel or overnight expenses. All these changes announced by Caribbean Airlines will be made through the Call Centre or at a Caribbean Airlines Ticket Office.
The Caribbean Airlines has encouraged all the affected passengers to register for real-time flight notifications in order to get the latest changes and cancellation of the flight services on time.
Moreover, the airline has not only just cancelled flights to and from Kingston but has also adjusted the timings for Flight BW 416. This change in the timings of the flight has been announced by the Caribbean Airlines due to the Tropical Storm Rafael and it applies only for Tuesday.
As per the revised timings, Flight BW 416 will fly from Trinidad at 12:00 pm for Barbados by 1:00 pm. Meanwhile, the flight will then take off from Barbados at 1:55 pm to reach St Maarten by 3:15 pm.
