Barbados: The Liquor Licence Authority will issue licences for nine classes of licences from April 1, 2022 (Friday).

As per the notification by the Government, Barbadians may apply online through the official site – liquorlicence.gov.bb. The government further affirmed that individuals could pay through the Government’s EZpay+ platform using debit or credit card transactions.

 

The government confirmed that the payment options would also include payment by cash at the post office across the island shortly. Details about this change will be announced soon.

 

The Authority further informed that the person might apply for the liquid licences using a valid email address, and the applicant will have their certificates through the same medium.

 

While informing about the assistance, the government stated that the applicants for the liquor licence would receive support from the “Help Desk” at the Liquor Licence Authority, First Floor, West Wing, Warrens Office Complex. It further outlined that the applicant can visit the office of the Authority on the weekdays – from Monday to Friday, and the timing announced by the Authority is from 8:30 am to 4:15 pm.

 

The Authority further underscored that the additional support would be provided by the Digital Ambassadors, who would be deployed at three posts – 1.) Oistins Post Office, Christ Church;

2.) The Valley Branch Post Office, St George, and

3.) The Post Office, located in Warrens Tower II, St Michael

 

It further added that, firstly, the digital ambassadors would be deployed at the post offices for two weeks, starting from April 1, 2022 (9 am to noon), daily. After that, the Authority might introduce some changes, which would be communicated to the public.
