Antigua and Barbuda U-19 cricket team returns from UK tour amid weather challenges
Under-19 cricket team of Antigua and Barbuda has returned to their homeland from the United Kingdom.

St John’s, Antigua and Barbuda: The under-19 cricket team of Antigua and Barbuda has returned to their homeland from the United Kingdom. The players, who visited the UK, came back after gaining valuable experience, despite disrupted weather conditions.
The Antigua and Barbuda High Commission in London, the United Kingdom, welcomed the players of the nation and expressed pride while announcing that they had a wonderful and successful tour. Reportedly, the under-19 team contested in London, Nottingham, Scotland and Leicester.
The High Commission took social media to extend congratulation, and while wishing, it mentioned, “Our talented U-19 cricket team is back from an enriching UK tour! Despite rainy weather challenges, they played matches in London, Nottingham, Leicester, and Scotland, gaining valuable experience.”
In addition to this, it stated that the major highlight of their tour was a visit to the Lord’s Cricket Ground. “A highlight was their visit to Lord’s Cricket Ground, where they learned about brain health and life skills in cricket,” it stated.
The High Commission of Antigua and Barbuda in the United Kingdom added, “They also connected with West Indian cricket legends and witnessed The Hundred Cricket Tournament at Lord’s as MCC guests.”
In addition to this, he took an official Facebook account to thank the coaches, team leaders and supporters of the team who led them to success.
“Kudos to our team leaders and heartfelt thanks to all supporters. We remain committed to nurturing youth cricket talent,” the social media post by Antigua and Barbuda High Commission in the UK read.
According to the reports, the under-19 team of Antigua and Barbuda played their first thrilling match in late July against Loughborough University, facing a tough defeat. Nevertheless, the team was still brimming with excitement and determination for the upcoming opportunities. Some of the further matches very postponed due to the disturbing weather conditions.
