212 fresh COVID-19 positive cases log in Trinidad and Tobago

Port of Spain: 212 new COVID-19  positive cases reported in Trinidad and Tobago. According to the statistics T&T experienced 6 deaths due to COVID-19 virus. The stats shows the constant positivity rate that country has been experiencing.

Till present total of 3,04,866 tests have been conducted in Trinidad and Tobago at both public and private facilities. In these total tests, 43,750 confirmed cases till present, out of which 37,654 have been recovered.

The total number of positive patients in Trinidad and Tobago had reached 4,838 in this 212 are new cases that had been reported recently in the last 24 hrs.

The hospitals have been occupied by 283 patients at present in T&T. 1,258 patients have also died due to the COVID-19 virus in the country.

Till 4 pm 4,98,016 patients have been given the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines out of these vaccinated persons 117,817 got AstraZeneca Oxford vaccine, 3,59,751 got Sino pharm vaccine and 20,448 doses of Pfizer, 294 Johnson & Johnson. 

Thus 3,81,791 out of the total population got fully vaccinated.

26 patients have been discharged from the public health facilities, and 302 have been recovered community cases. Recovered community cases are categorised in them those who have been infected by COVID-19 virus, and they were in self-isolation, and after reaching the discharge, criteria had been released from self-isolation.

6 additional death have also been reported on Saturday. From the 6 dead, 4 were elderly male,1 elderly female and 0 middle-aged male, 1 middle-aged female, 0 young adult male, 0 young adult females 

The government of Trinidad and Tobago had reopen its border for travellers from July 17 but also warned that the non-vaccinated people would not be allowed to enter the country.

Trinidad and Tobago would be receiving the shipment of 82,000 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. This shipment is coming from Canada. Canadian Minister of International Development Karina Gould gave this updation on the vaccine doses.

The Ministry remains to prioritize its health care workers who continue a high-risk high-exposure society for catching the COVID-19 virus. To this end, health care workers are once again been prioritized to take another World Health Organization (WHO) recommended COVID-19 vaccine, to guard their patients, their families and themselves.
