117 individuals tested positive for COVID in Trinidad and Tobago in 24 hours

Trinidad and Tobago have recorded 117 new positive cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 25 October 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry. With the arrival of these cases, the active number of coronavirus infections has increased to 4,573.

In contrast, a total of 49,575 individuals have been recovered from the deadly COVID-19 mutant.

In total, around 318 people are in the hospital. The Health Ministry of Trinidad and Tobago further informed in the report that a total of 5 new deaths have been recorded, taking the total death toll to 1,650 on the Caribbean island as of 25 October 2021.

As per the Health Ministry’s report, there are a total of 30 patients in the step-down facilities, about 68 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities.

A total of 4108 individuals have isolated themselves at their homes following the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T.

According to the COVID-19 update report, since the deadliest pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 55,798 confirmed cases of the virus.

If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 381,372 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which a total of 161,220 individuals have been tested at private facilities, whereas the remaining tests were conducted at public healthcare facilities.

As of 25 October 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 618,345 individuals have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 585,737 individuals have welcomed their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.
