Trinidad set to welcome 3 Cruises, bringing 5969 passengers ashore
The tourism authority of Trinidad is likely to welcome around 5969 cruise passengers to the island nation over the next two days. The three cruise ships namely, Jewel of the Seas, Seven Seas Splendor and Emerald Princess will dock on the shores of the island nation on 27th and 28th February, 2024.

Trinidad: The tourism authority of Trinidad is likely to welcome around 5969 cruise passengers to the island nation over the next two days. The three cruise ships namely, Jewel of the Seas, Seven Seas Splendor and Emerald Princess will dock on the shores of the island nation on 27th and 28th February, 2024.
Tourism being one of the strongest pillars for the economic growth of the nation will get a huge boost with the arrival of a large number of visitors and cruise ships. The arrival of the tourists will likely create a surge in the country’s economic conditions.
Trinidad’s tourism authority has also shed light on anticipations for the cruise season. According to the information shared by the officials, approximately 40% of passengers will go on organised tours and 149 maxis are being utilised for the tours.
Along with that, the tourism authority also highlighted the main attractions of the country for the tourists which include, Maracas Beach, Caroni Bird Sanctuary and a City Tour. These places are considered one of the most beautiful locations of the island nation, offering diverse amenities to all its visitors. Tourists are expected to take a tour of these specific locations.
Moreover, the authorities also highlighted the 2023-24 cruise season by sharing the data. As per the data shared by the Ministry, the average expenses incurred were estimated at US$28 per person.
“We are preparing for a busy few days as our Cruise season moves forward,” mentioned the Tourism Ministry of Trinidad.
The cruise tourism of the nation will open doors of many opportunities for the local citizens as it will enhance several services including hospitality, shops, restaurants, tours and many more. The revenues earned through the tourism sector will play a crucial role in promoting the stability and security of the nation.
The tourism authority is also hoping that this year’s cruise season will promote local businesses and will generate huge revenue which will further contribute to the growth and development of the nation.
The cruises will also offer many facilities to all their passengers, ensuring their travel to be safe and comfortable.
