Tied up body of plumber discovered at Kingston, 25-year-old arrested

Kingston, Jamaica: The Police have arrested a 25-year-old man and charged him with the murder of a plumber on Hannah Street in Kingston. His hands and legs were found bound and police observed multiple gunshot wounds on his body.

As per police reports, the accused is identified as Donovan McFarlane, also known as ‘Diamond.’ He resided at the Upper Exford Street in Kingston

If sources are to be believed, it has been mentioned that the investigating officers received information about a murder at around 9:05 am on March 16. They responded to the matter and arrived at a location described by the locals.

Upon arrival, they observed the body of the deceased lying motionless on the ground with his hands and feet tied with a rope. On examining the body, they found multiple gunshot wounds to the upper part of his body. 

He succumbed to those injuries and was declared dead by the medical practitioners who arrived at the crime scene, along with the police officers. 

The police began their investigation and identified the victim as 33-year-old Randy Wilson. He was a plumber and a resident of Jones Pen at St Catherine. 

Further, the investigation of the murder continued in the area where the crime took place. As a result, they arrested McFarlane, and he was taken into police custody immediately. 

The accused was charged with murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition, making use of a firearm to commit a felony and a conspiracy to murder. Notably, his court date is yet to be finalized. 

Additionally, such stances of the heinous crimes are not new in the country as Jamaica’s citizens are experiencing similar criminal activities in their country on every alternate day. With the rising rate of crimes, the authorities are now expected to take serious steps to combat the increase in crimes. 

Jamaica is currently grappling with a problem of crimes, which pose a serious threat to tourism to a great extent. The visitors or travellers are scared to visit the country due to such cases.
