Antigua and Barbuda: The summer season of Antigua and Barbuda is all set to offer plethora of experiences to all their visitors from enthralling sports tournaments to the much-awaited Carnival. Recently, the Tourism Authority of country unveiled the exciting summer calendar of events. 

The calendar unveiled exciting summer activities with a vision to welcome a large number of tourists to the country and boost the tourism sector. This diverse range of events will also play a significant role in promoting the vibrant culture and traditions of the country. 

The Summer season of Antigua and Barbuda is being held under the theme “Be Here.” The theme is a welcoming message to local citizens and all the travellers to come and explore the vibrant and diverse amenities offered by the tourism authority of the country to all their travellers. 

The exciting Summer Calendar of events for 2024 

16th – 19th May: Sports Fishing Tournament 

20th – 24th May: Barbuda Caribana 

1st – 29th June: ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 

3rd – 13th July: T20 World Challenge 

25th July – 9th August: Antigua Carnival 

9th August – 5th September: CPL T20 Tournament 

The Sports Fishing Tournament is a great platform for all the sports enthusiasts and seafood lovers to participate in the event. The event attracts anglers from all over the world to test their skills in catching various types of fishes. 

Barbuda’s Caribana festival is a celebration of music, culture, pageantry and many more. The event will offer food, drinks, music, activities and many more to all their local citizens and travellers. 

Moreover, Antigua and Barbuda is also one of the six Caribbean nations that will hosting the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The tournament will begin from 1st June and will continue till 29th June 2024. The island nation will host eight games in total in their Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. 

The nation will also be hosting T20 World Challenge and CPL T20 Tournament. These events will play a huge role in promoting the local talents of the nation who are making efforts to polish their cricketing skills and techniques. 

The Antigua’s Carnival is the highly anticipated event of the season which is a celebration of the rich cultural heritage of the country. The Carnival will play a huge role in enhancing the tourism sector which will further promote the economic conditions of the country.
