An import certificate was earlier issued by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices for the product to legally enter Germany, after which the permission has been granted.

The minister further noted, “SVG has unfurled an influential global opportunity for partnership among member states of the OECS wishing to participate in the international medical cannabis industry”.

“I invite all member states of the OECS with the established medicinal cannabis policy frameworks to join forces for the sustainable development of what can become a world competitive sub-regional medicinal wellness ecosystem”, he added.

For the d-day, the jurisdiction of the SVG has been working tenaciously with several governments, international agencies, local public and private sector stakeholders for the past three years.

Apart from this, a diversified medicinal wellness platform will be established by the government of St Vincent and the Grenadines. This platform will comprise traditional medicines & the emerging psychedelics doctor-assisted treatment initiative.
