St Kitts and Nevis PM Dr Drew shares glimpse of last day of 72nd meeting of OECS

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis – Dr Terrnace Drew, has shared a glimpse of the last day of the OECS Authority’s 72nd meeting. The meeting was a Town hall meeting, witnessing the attendance of local residents. The meeting discussed the conversations and discussions between the residents and the government.

“Greetings; we ended the day with a staple of the 72nd Meeting of the OECS Authority, a Town Hall meeting with the local residents, where the various Heads of Government address the residents and answer pertinent questions. It was quite insightful and informative for two days,” the post by Dr Drew read.

Earlier, he shared some photographs of the final day of the 72nd Meeting of the OECS Authority in the neighbouring state – of Montserrat. He said, “Today I attended a variety of Caucus Plenary Sessions on regional integration matters, particularly around enhanced cooperation and matters of information related to reports of various councils and assemblies.”

He also took part in a zoom meeting with Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada and the other heads of government continuing ongoing talks and seeking solutions to the issues faced by Haiti.

The Opening Ceremony of the 72nd Meeting of the OECS Authority was held in Montserrat on Wednesday. The maiden address was delivered by Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew, during which he highlighted that the Drew-led government would ensure that the Federation will see upliftment and growth. PM Drew also mentioned that the world has been facing the issue of climate change, and all global leaders should come together to fight against it.

During his address, he was accompanied by Naeemah Hazelle, Permanent Secretary, Office of the Prime Minister and Samuel Berridge, Senior Assistant Secretary, Office of the Prime Minister’s Regional Integration and Diaspora Unit.
