Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew congratulates the newly appointed non-resident Ambassador of St Kitts and Nevis to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela – Dr Norgen Maxwell Wilson.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: The Prime Minister of the twin-island Federation of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, has extended warm congratulations towards the newly appointed non-resident Ambassador of St Kitts and Nevis to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela – Dr Norgen Maxwell Wilson.
While extending congratulations and best wishes for future endeavours, Prime Minister noted, “Congratulations to His Excellency Ambassador Dr Norgen Maxwell Wilson, the new non-Resident Ambassador to Venezuela.
The new non-resident Ambassador of St Kitts and Nevis to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela was appointed on March 14, 2023 (Tuesday). According to the update shared by the government of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Wilson has been officially received by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela’s President.
The Letters of Credentials were presented by the newly appointed Ambassador in an official ceremony in the presence of the President and other government dignitaries on the morning of Tuesday. According to the release by the government of St Kitts and Nevis, the allied country (Venezuela) has always stood to its commitment and worked to uphold friendly relations with the Caribbean community.
Following the meeting, President Maduro took to social media to express his pleasure. The post by the President read, “Always pleased to receive brotherly people, today represented by Dr Norgen Maxwell Wilson, who handed me Credentials as Ambassador of St Kitts and Nevis, in Venezuela. Welcome to the Homeland of Bolivar and Chavez! Following the union of our countries.”
As per the update by the government of the twin-island Federation, the newly appointed minister will be responsible for representing and protecting the interests of the Government and people of St Kitts and Nevis, promoting and maintaining diplomatic and friendly relations, coordinating the implementation of the foreign policy priorities of the Federation, explore avenues for trade promotion, enhancing educational opportunities for the people of the Federation with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and to undertake the coordination of consular matters and services, among others duties.
