The innings had all the ingredients of great cricket with Matthews hitting 12 fours and two towering sixes that created a foundation for the Renegades to easily catch up with the target. While aggressive in her approach, the amount of calculated risks and steady scoring Matthews maintained was commendable.

Dottin also came in to the crease once the opener, Courtney Webb retired rather unlucky after scoring a quick 37, adding an electrifying pace to the innings. Smashing seven fours and a six in an extraordinary 18-ball knock, Dottin scored 46 runs.

Matthews and Dottin did all the work to complete the chase in mere 17.1 overs with great chemistry and attacking spirit.

In the early exchanges, the Adelaide Strikers looked good, putting 185-8 on board after being put to bat first. Tahlia McGrath and Smriti Mandhana really formed the backbone of the innings with their respective knocks of 49 and 40 runs.

Matthews also impressed with the ball, chipping in 2-28 in four overs. In the battle, her performance was instrumental. This all-round performance by Matthews displayed her brilliant talent, and Dottin’s quick runs ensured that the match went in the favor of winning for Renegades.
