Vistabella woman shots to death, marks another homicide of nation
A mother of two, Crystal Harricharan was brutally killed in Vistabella on Tuesday, following a death threat from past few weeks.

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago: A mother of two was brutally killed in Vistabella on Tuesday, following a death threat from the past few weeks. She received multiple injuries on her body due to bullet shots, marking another homicide in the country.
According to the police, the lady was identified as 35-year-old Crystal Harricharan. She was a mother of two children and a Boodoo Trace Extension of Union Village resident at Claxton Bay.
A report was made to the Homicide Bureau of Investigation (Region 3) and the officers responded to the matter and arrived in the Jarvis Street of Vistabella, where murder took place. Upon arrival, they found the body of Harricharan lying motionless near her car.
The initial investigations of the case stated that the victim was leaving her car to pick up her children from school. In due course of time, a man came out from his white Nissan B15 car and opened several shots of fire on her.
As a consequence, Harricharan received multiple injuries on her body, and she succumbed to those injuries. The police conducted their inquiries and found that a mother of two had received several death threats for the past few months.
Moreover, her home had been firebombed and shot at. The Homicide Bureau is executing further investigations, along with the Southern Division Police officers. The authorities urged the public to come forward with any information and record their statement in the police division and assist them in their investigation.
The people across the nation expressed their concern for their security and safety through their comments on the social media (Facebook) as the crimes are increasing every day.
“She was on her way to pick up school kids I am speechless I don’t even know what to say hmmm SMH”, quoted on FB user.
“My heart goes out to poor children. The woman get death threats for so long. It is so painful. I hope she get the justice”, commented another.
Additionally, the authorities are advised to take strict action to combat the issue of rise in criminal activities. The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) are urged to maintain strict surveillance against such crimes, before the nation pays a high price.
