TTPS arrests 26 under Coordinated Operation in Tunapuna
Police arrested 26 persons for various offenses when officers from multiple units across 3 policing divisions conducted an intelligence-led operation.

Trinidad and Trinidad: Police arrested 26 persons for various offenses when officers from multiple units across three policing divisions conducted a well-coordinated intelligence-led operation in the area west of the North Central Division between 4 am and 8 am on March 29, 2022. The operation consisted of simultaneous house search exercises in the Tunapuna area, where several search warrants were executed.
During the exercise, 12 persons were arrested for inquiries into the gang and firearm-related offenses in the Tunapuna district. Six suspects were detained for owning marijuana, while six others were arrested on outstanding warrants, and two other persons were arrested for obstruction and resisting arrest.
The exercise was spearheaded by Snr Supt Brian Ramphal, coordinated by Supt Powder, ASP Coggins, Inspector Highly and supervised Sgt La Pierre, Cpl Forde, Cpl Superville, Cpl Gooding, and other members of the North Central Task Force-West, and supported by the Canine Unit, Tunapuna Process, Tunapuna Criminal Investigations Department, St Joseph Criminal Investigations Department, North Central Division Task Force- East, Northern Division Task Force-North, Northern Division Task Force – South, North Eastern Division Task Force, Northern Division Gang Unit, Maloney Criminal Investigations Department, Arouca Criminal Investigations Department, La Horquetta CID, and Arima CID.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Services stated that the inquiries are continuing.
