True Blue Beauty Pageant: Celebrating strength and unity among female Police Officers in Caribbean

Scheduled on October 25, 2024, in Antigua, the True Blue Beauty Pageant is the first of its kind to emphasize the beauty, talent, and resilience of female police officers in the Caribbean.

Organized under the theme “United We Serve”, this pageant tries to bring in unity among the officials of law enforcement agencies in the Caribbean, raising the commitment towards community service as well as to public safety.

Scheduled to take place at the John E St Luce Finance and Conference Centre, the pageant will have participants from different Caribbean nations including those from British Virgin Islands in the form of Tresan Sharpe.

Shania Samuel from Antigua and Barbuda; Regine Clement from Trinidad and Tobago; Sabrina Mangal from Saint Lucia; Nickesha Lewis from Guyana; and Neddia Bromley from Cayman Islands, are among the other participants enlisted for the pageant.

All the contestants have the zeal and carry the zest of their countries, celebrating individual talents and contributions to their community.

Among the contestants, Tresan Sharpe, who has earlier been recognized and crowned as Miss RVIPF by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, is full of experiences and determination for the stage.

She has previously worked on the Family and Juvenile Unit, having a background in psychology and criminology. In addition to devising for the pageant, she wants to start outreach programs for the disadvantaged youth, which makes her not only a contestant but also an inspirational leader to the community.

True Blue Beauty Pageant is not only a beauty pageant but also has other categories, which include Interview, Beauty with a Purpose, Personal Introductions, National Costume, Talent, Evening Gown, and Question and Answer sessions.

This wide scope of categories allows the participants to come out with various talents with a cause for essential social causes. In particular, “Beauty with a Purpose” provides an attribute that helps people remember the social activism of the participants apart from the beauty pageant.

Besides the appreciation of the female law enforcement officials, the event raises funds for the welfare of the police in the member states.

The Caribbean Federation of Police Welfare Associations is one of those organizations that lends its endorsement to the event, whose objective is to forge community involvement and provides officers with a common platform to connect and exchange experiences.

As the pageant approaches, it is obvious that the True Blue Beauty Pageant is to become an epochal event that not only establishes the beauty and talent in female officers but also underlines their contributions to the society.
