St Kitts and Nevis to procure 5 new Toyota Hiace Ambulances, enhance medical services

The Ministry of Health of St Kitts and Nevis is all set to obtain 5 new Toyota Hiace Ambulances in January 2025. With the acquisition of these advanced medical equipped ambulances, the authorities aim to elevate their healthcare services across the island nation.
The initiative undertaken by the authorities of possessing these state-of-the-art ambulances shed light on their unwavering commitment and dedication towards improving healthcare services. As per the details, these ambulances will be equipped with advanced facilities which has been designed with a vision to provide all the patients with essential life-saving care.
With the procurement of these ambulances, the Ministry of Health of St Kitts and Nevis is also aiming to provide the access to reliable medical transportation to all the patients.
While shedding light on the acquisition of these ambulances, the Director of Health Institutions, Dr. Jenson Morton stated that it will play a huge role in helping them responding to the medical emergencies in an effective and efficient manner.
He further added that with the purchasing of Toyota Hiace Ambulances, it will be easy for them to reach out to all the people, even those who resides in remote or underserved areas.
Moreover, while extending gratitude to TDC for this significant partnership, the Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Curtis Martin stated that the addition of these ambulances would prove be a huge assert for the health department.
He stated that the idea of purchasing these ambulances perfectly align with their vision of strengthening healthcare services. He added that they are adamant to ensure that each citizens have access to quality care, especially during emergencies.
Also, one of the representatives of TDC company also called Health, the fundamental pillar of the society. “We at TDC are pleased to procure this equipment to further enhance the healthcare services provided by your esteemed Ministry.”
The Ministry of Health of St Kitts and Nevis approach towards advancing healthcare services has always been very evident. One of the perfect examples of this approach is JNF General Hospital.
As, the authorities have made several upgrades to the foyer, the construction of the MRI building, installation of MRI machines and many more. The Prime Minister, Dr Terrance Drew also expressed delight on seeing the continuous progress in the health department and stated that it is definitely progressing well.
