St Kitts and Nevis: The government of St Kitts and Nevis is set to ease down the restrictions on the mass gathering. From February 12, the twin-island would reduce the restrictions earlier imposed by the government led by Dr Timothy Harris and his Cabinet.
Like other countries, St Kitts and Nevis is also heading back to normalcy. This information was announced by Prime Minister Dr Harris.
While addressing the people of St Kitts and Nevis, he said, “On the advice of health experts and the NEOC, the Cabinet has just today (February 10, 2022) approved the recommendation to relax restrictions on mass events that affect the entertainment and sporting communities, and We shall do so this Saturday, February 12, 2022.”
PM Harris added, “In other words, we have removed restrictions on mass events related or being organized by the entertainment and sporting communities and sectors as of this Saturday, February 12. We urge everyone to be responsible and, of course, to comply with any direction of the police.”
The Superintendent of Police Henry urged to obey all the COVID-19 related to minimizing the risk of the infection. He was quoted saying, “We have to proceed with caution to minimize the risk of illness.”
As of February 12, 2022, the island country reported 5,495 of a total number of confirmed cases. However, the number of casualties due to COVID-19 in twin-island is 39.
