St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, has announced that paid press release published by the Hamilton Reserve Bank was false and contained misinformation. The release was issued by many new websites worldwide, including “Businesswire”.
While making the announcement, Prime Minister stated that he did not make such a statement, according to the Prime Minister’s Office. Prime Minister Drew was quoted saying that it is shameful that an international company is paying the media to release a quote which he does not tell. Dr Drew stated, “The world must know that I did not say any related comment about Hamilton Reserve Bank in Dubai neither publically nor privately.”
Besides St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister’s Office, the address of the Prime Minister was also covered by a journalist of Caribbean News Website Associates Times. According to the website, all videos and speech scripts have confirmed that Prime Minister has not made such a statement about Hamilton Reserve Bank or its associates.
The event organised in Dubai focused on the Citizenship by Investment Programme of St Kitts and Nevis and was organised for consultants of CBI programmes as well as immigration agents. Associates Times has claimed that the investigation has informed that this false information was spread by two persons, Sheeba Radhakrishnan and Sandeep George, who are the prime conspirators. These two tried to defame the government of St Kitts and Nevis, emphasising benefiting the bank by fabricating phoney trust.
Furthermore, it was revealed that Radhakrishnan and George masked as representatives of AAA Global Incorporation and Trust Inc. to attend the event in Dubai. AAA Global is an agent that deals with the CBI Programme of St Kitts and Nevis, which is regarded as the parent company of the fraudulent bank. Associates Times further outlined that both tried to click the picture of PM Drew and published it in a manipulated manner.
Hamilton Reserve Bank dealt with the situation recklessly and ignored it by not responding to the emails for comments.
Expectedly, St Kitts and Nevis Embassy in UAE will collaborate with the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to investigate the matter; immediate action should be taken against Hamilton Reserve Bank.
