St Kitts and Nevis: PM Terrance Drew led Cabinet meets CARICOM Secretary General Dr Carla Barnett
Cabinet of the Ministers of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis, led by Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew, met with the Secretary General of the Caribbean Community CARICOM – Dr Carla Barnett.

St Kitts and Nevis: Cabinet of the Ministers of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis, led by Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew, met with the Secretary General of the Caribbean Community CARICOM – Dr Carla Barnett.
The interaction between the cabinet of the federation and the CARICOM SG discussed the working of the community, including discussions on health-related topics, on which PM Terrance Drew will lead the Quasi-Cabinet in CARICOM.
The Secretary General of CARICOM shared this meeting update. The post on the social media read, “I was pleased to brief the new Cabinet of Ministers in St Kitts and Nevis today on the work of the Community, including Human Resources Development, Health and HIV on which Prime Minister Hon Dr Terrance Drew @drterrance_drew leads in the CARICOM Quasi-Cabinet.”
On the same day, CARICOM Secretary-General Barnett also met with the CARICOM Youth Ambassadors in St Kitts and Nevis – Iana Franks and Jalen Monza. The interaction witnessed the discussion on some crucial areas.
While sharing the update, CARICOM SG stated, “It was a pleasure to interact today with the CARICOM Youth Ambassadors in the twin-island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, Iana Franks and Jalen Monzac, and to hear their plans to engage their peers on critical areas, including youth agriculture, regional transportation and mental health.”
The Caribbean Community CARICOM is a group of twenty countries, of which fifteen are member states and the remaining five are associate members. This community is multi-lingual, and most people speak the English language, complemented by Dutch and French as well as variations of these and African and Asian expressions.
The CARICOM family stretches from the Bahamas in the north to Guyana in South America; CARICOM comprises states considered developing countries, except for Belize, in Central America and Guyana and Suriname in South America. St Kitts and Nevis joined the community on 26th July 1974.
