St Kitts and Nevis government reduces gasoline excise tax, makes fuel cheaper
Government of St Kitts and Nevis has announced that gasoline will witness reduction in its excise tax.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: The government of St Kitts and Nevis has announced that gasoline will witness reduction in its excise tax. As per the recent update shared by the government and Prime Minister of the Federation, Dr Terrance Drew, the Excise Tax on gasoline will be reduced to 0.95 from 2.25 per gallon.
Reportedly, the step taken by the Government will make the cost per gallon of gasoline cheaper in the twin-island Federation of St Kitts and Nevis.
More Good News was shared through a flyer circulated by the government of the country. “Government lowers the Excise Tax on gasoline from 2.25 to 0.95 making the cost per gallon of gasoline cheaper,” the government informed the general public.
It is worth mentioning that this new step by the government will decrease the financial burden on the citizens and residents of the island nation. This reduction in the cost of per gallon of gasoline will also make it available larger population of the country.
Providing ‘a new day a better way’ the government of St Kitts and Nevis, earlier, announced that it has decided to provide financial ease with the granting of concessions on supplies for the upcoming school term.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew has stated that no taxes on the importation of school supplies up to 30 September 2023 (Saturday).
