Six athletes to represent Grenada in Paris Olympics 2024
The Grenada Olympic Committee announced six exceptional athletes who will be representing the nation at the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, France.

Grenada: The Grenada Olympic Committee announced six exceptional athletes who will be representing the nation at the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, France.
The 2024 Summer Olympic Games will commence with an Opening ceremony on 26th July and will continue till 11th August 2024. The Pairs has been named as the main host city, with selected events held in surrounding cities in France. The Olympic Games will feature 329 events in 32 sports with 206 nations competing in it with a total number of 10,672 athletes.
The GOC has selected 4 members who will be competing in Track and Field and 2 in Swimming. While unveiling the names of the athletes, the Committee stated that their participants are all set to compete on the international stage. For the same, they added that they stand united in support of their team and are waiting to celebrate their achievements and anticipating memorable performances in Paris.
Tilly Collymore who will be competing in 100m Freestyle swimming is all set to make her mark in Olympic arena. Her unwavering commitment and dedication promise an exciting journey ahead for her as she will compete against the best swimmers from all over the world.
On the other hand, Zackary Gresham is an emerging star in swimming and will be competing in 100m Backstroke. His participation shed light on the growing presence of the island nation in several Olympic disciplines.
The athletes who will be competing in Track and Field include, Kirani James, participating in 400 metres. This is the fourth time that Kirani will be making his appearance in the Olympic games. The athlete has made remarkable contribution towards the development of sports sector in Grenada and his achievements at the Olympics, Commonwealth games have earned him the tag of National Hero. For his excellence and determination, he is also considered as an inspiration to several aspiring athletes.
Halle Hazzard will represent the island nation in 100 metres race which is all set to bring her speed and talent to the Olympic track. Meanwhile, Anderson Peters will be competing at the Javelin. He is also a World Championship gold medallist and is all set to represent island nation with his record-breaking career. Lindon Victor, a gold medallist in the Commonwealth Games is all set to compete in the decathlon.
Moreover, the Grenada Olympic Committee also unveiled the delegates who will accompany the athletes to Paris for Olympic Games 2024. Dr. Jane Noel has been announced as the Chef de Mission who will be leading the delegates and will be supported by Manager, Conrad Francis.
The GOC asserted that the guidance and leadership of such delegates will play a huge role in supporting and preparing the athletes for the prestigious Olympic Games.
