Royal Saint Lucia Police seizes 300 packages of narcotics in storage container
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force seized more than 300 packages from the bags after inspecting them.

Castries, Saint Lucia: The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force seized more than 300 packages from the bags after inspecting them. The total weight of the bags and packages was over 400 kg. According to the police service, further investigation will be carried out, during which the packages will be analyses.
The Police Force mentioned that as investigation will be progressed, more information will be shared by the general public of Saint Lucia.
According to the official update by the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, the investigation in the matter was commenced after it received a report of a suspected narcotics discovery inside a container, in the north of island.
Following this, a storage container was observed by the officers, which was on the compound of the premises. The container was carrying some boxes – large and small and many large bags. The bags were checked thoroughly, which had plant material – giving a lead to the further investigation.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Service further raised concern about drug trafficking in Saint Lucia and mentioned that drug trafficking poses a significant threat to the society, being a serious crime. Furthermore, the Police Service assured that they are committed to clamp down one this illegal activity and will always focus on providing justice.
It further asked the public to come together and help them in identifying the person any crime. “We urge the public to support us in this fight by reporting any suspicious activity, or providing information that could help us identify and apprehend drug traffickers,” Royal Saint Lucia Police Service mentioned.
It added, “We also understand that drug trafficking can be a source of concern for many people, but we want to reassure you that we are doing everything in our power to keep our communities safe. We are of the firm belief, that together, we can make a difference and put an end to drug trafficking.”
