Prez Ali meets Barbados PM Mottley amid visit to Guyana for Agri-Investment Forum and Expo

Guyana: President Dr Irfaan Ali met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottely. Prime Minister Mottley is in Guyana for the three-day Agri-Investment Forum and Expo, which is scheduled to run from May 20, Friday to May 21, Saturday at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre.
Dr Irfaan Ali presented the Prime Minister Mottley with a steel portrait, which was done by overseas-based Guyanese artist, Paul Jones.
Prime Minister Mottley and a delegation from Barbados arrived in Guyana this afternoon for the three-day Agri-Investment Forum and Expo, which is scheduled to run from tomorrow to Saturday at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre.
At State House, Prime Minister Mottley was also welcomed by Vice President, Dr Bharrat Jagdeo, Senior Minister within the Office of the President with responsibility for Finance, Dr Ashni Singh and the Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Oneidge Walrond.
His Excellency Dr Irfaan Ali and a high-level cabinet team attended a working dinner this evening with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Barbados, the Honourable Mia Amor Mottley and a delegation from Barbados at the Grand Coastal Hotel on the East Coast of Demerara.
Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, Anil Nandlall; Senior Minister within the Office of the President with responsibility for Finance, Dr Ashni Singh and the Minister of Agriculture, Zulfikar Mustapha along with other Cabinet Ministers and Government officials also attended the event.
Dr Ali and Prime Minister Mottley, spent some time greeting guests and staff at the Grand Coastal Hotel, East Coast of Demerara, earlier Wednesday (May 18, 2022).
The two leaders were at the venue for a working dinner.
The Head of the State of CARICOM has been present in Guyana to attend the Agri-Investment Forum and Expo. Recently, Guyana witnessed arrival of Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit and Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr Keith Rowley.
