President Irfaan Ali vows to invest $80 million for development of KuruKabaru
Recently, the President Ali visited Kurukabaru in Region Eight and met with their residents. During his meeting with the residents of the community, he highlighted specific areas for development, such as agriculture, potable water, education, and a craft shop.

The President of Guyana, Dr Irfaan Ali handed over two ATVs to Kurukabaru community and promised to invest over $80 million for their development by the end of 2024.
Recently, the President Ali visited Kurukabaru in Region Eight and met with their residents. During his meeting with the residents of the community, he highlighted specific areas for development, such as agriculture, potable water, education, and a craft shop.
Also, during his visit he handed over two ATVs to them for their use in the community and its satellite villages. Along with that, he stated that the community will benefit from improved internet connectivity in the coming weeks.
The President also announced his government plans to invest over $80 million into the community. He stated that these targeted investments and additions to the community’s infrastructure shed light on the commitment of the government towards upliftment and well-being of the Kurukabaru region.
Not only this, the President Irfaan Ali also promised to invest tens of millions on Monkey Mountain with a vision to accelerate the growth and development of the community and surrounding areas. The President also made his visit to Monkey Mountain in North Pakaraima and stated that his government is continuing to make efforts in order to provide the community people with the best amenities.
While shedding light on their main agenda, the President Irfaan Ali stated that agricultural advancements is their priority with the area earmarked for pigeon peas cultivation.
The Government stated that with the help of the Ministry of Agriculture, they would establish the farms and would purchase the produce from the community upon harvest. The President also expressed his commitment to support the building of a block-making factory and rice cultivation in the community.
He added that before the end of the year, the community will benefit from bridges, enhanced roads, and the completion of the village multipurpose centre among other projects. He also ensured the citizens would also receive improved internet connectivity within a matter of weeks.
The President also acknowledged the severe water challenges in the community and disclosed that Guyana Water Incorporated will also embark on a project to ensure households are able to access potable water. For the same, he promised to supply water tanks to the residents, aiming to fulfill all the necessary needs and demands of the citizens.
President Irfaan Ali stated that his government will make all the possible efforts in order to provide all the communities with the best possible amenities, making their livelihood easy and sustainable for all the countrymen.
