PM Roosevelt Skerrit congratulates Donald Trump on marking historic return to White House

The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, has congratulated Donald Trump on winning the 2024 American election and marking a historic return to the White House after a period of four years.

PM Roosevelt Skerrit extended all his best wishes to President Trump for a successful administration and aimed at strengthening their bonds of friendship and cooperation.

“On behalf of the government and people of Dominica, I warmly congratulate the President-elect of the United States, @realDonaldTrump, on his election victory,” stated PM Roosevelt Skerrit.

PM Skerrit stated that they are looking forward to continue their strong partnership with the United States of America. He added that they are aiming to strengthen their shared values of democracy by expanding economic opportunities and advancing their mutual interests for global peace and stability.

The Prime Minister stated that they are hoping to work with Donald Trump and make several collaborative efforts with a vision to contribute to the peace, progress and prosperity of both nations.

PM Skerrit also congratulated on behalf of the entire Government of Dominica and stated that all they stand in solidarity with United States of America and are looking forward for several healthy and successful future collaborations.

Notably, Donald Trump, an American Politician who also served as the 45^th President of the United States is all set to return to the White House. After defeating the Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday, 6^th November, 2024, Donald Trump is ready to serve his duties and responsibilities now, as the 47th President of USA.

Trump won the election by securing more than 270 Electoral College votes and became the oldest person ever elected to the office. He also registered history by becoming the first President in 120 years to return to his power after being expelled after his first term.

As per the details, he will swear in at the presidential inauguration on Monday, 20^th January 2025. The Presidential inauguration is always held on 20^th Jan, as mentioned by the Constitution’s 20th Amendment. The newly elected President Trump will immediately be shifted to the White House after his swearing-in ceremony.

Trump has ensured the deportation of all undocumented immigrants from America. He pledged to begin the largest deportation operation in the history of their country. Along with that, he has also promised to end the war in Ukraine and unite all the people of the country.

Donald Trump said in his victory speech that it is the time for them put the divisions of the last four years behind them. He called it a time to unite all the citizens together and make efforts to put the country first for at least a period of time.

He also extended gratitude to all his supporters and called it a magnificent victory for the American people. He ensured to fight for the welfare of his countrymen and aimed at bringing essential growth and development of the country.
