PM Pierre appoints Jeremiah Norbert as Minister for Crime Prevention and Persons with Disabilities
Philip J Pierre, Prime Minister of Saint Lucia appointed Jeremiah Norbert as the Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister responsible for Crime Prevention and Persons with Disabilities.

Castries, Saint Lucia: In a landmark decision, Prime Minister Philip J Pierre of Saint Lucia has appointed Jeremiah Norbert as the Minister responsible for Crime Prevention and Persons with Disabilities, marking a significant step towards inclusive governance and enhanced security.
Prime Minister has shared his vision of extending support to disabled people who are working hard and making every possible effort to play a meaningful role in the development of the nation.
While revealing his plans, he added that he would do his best to increase the number of opportunities and decrease the level of threats for every disabled citizen participating in one or more competitions.
For the same, PM Pierre assigned the responsibility to Jeremiah Norbert to look after the differently-abled population and represent them. This allows for differently-abled individuals to be represented at the highest decision-making level in Saint Lucia.

While acknowledging the Minister, the PM described him as the embodiment of talent who understands tough situations and how to address all the challenges that young people face in society.
Jeremiah Norbert has also been assigned the portfolio of National security. The Minister will work with Members of the Judiciary, Correctional officers, NGOs, Civic groups, and societies to ensure the reduction of gun violence and other criminal activities in Saint Lucia.
While sharing the role of Minister, PM Pierre added, “The new Minister will be expected to focus on all suggestions, ideas, and methods that are aimed at crime prevention and reduction.”
PM Philip shared that he will work closely with Jeremiah Norbert in order to curb the crime rates. For that, he pledged to help the officials with every resource and equipment, ensuring a peaceful environment for the country.
Several residents of the community have extended best wishes to the newly appointed Minister and have expressed their faith in the Minister.
