                                                    Kingston: Prime Minister of Jamaica Andrew Holness joined the Bahamas Prime Minister Philip Davis for the Grand Re-opening of Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort and Offshore Island on January 27, 2022.
During his address, PM Holness asserted, “With the ravages of the pandemic, I am extremely pleased to see these types of investments being made, which signals the rebounding of the tourism industry in the Caribbean”.
He further noted, “This afternoon, I delivered the keynote address at the Grand Re-Opening of the New, Re-Imagined, Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort, and Offshore Island. Sandals is the quintessential all-inclusive hotel brand name of the Caribbean. It is a name that comes with the promise of an exceptional world-class experience, and it has indeed lived up to that promise.”

“As the world slowly emerges from the grips of the contagious COVID-19 pandemic, now is the time to support to benefit from the inevitable rebound that is about to come. Investments such as – the Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort and Offshore Island will bear bountiful fruit, and the path to economic recovery will be much clearer.”
Following the emergence of the deadliest COVID-19 pandemic, the Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort was kept closed amid the safety of the staff members and the tourists.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister of the Bahamas, Philip Davis, appreciated the PM Holness for joining him over the re-openinig of the resort, tweeted, “It was a pleasure welcoming my regional colleague and friend @AndrewHolnessJM to The Bahamas. This was a great opportunity to reassert Caribbean countries’ collective values and partnership.”
