Ministry of Tourism shares update on recruitment drive in Dominica

Dominica: The Ministry of Tourism, International Transport, and Maritime Initiatives has shared update on the recruitment drive, being conducted by the MAMPA Employment Agency and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.

The recruitment drive would be conducted at the St Alphonsus Parish Hall – Goodwill, between May 9 and 11 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

As per the Ministry, the documents that the interested applicants should bring along are as follows:

– Valid Passport
– An Update copy of your resume
– Visa Size Photo
– Police Record

Available positions shared by the Ministry are:

Junior Seaman, Junior Engineman, Assistant Electrician, Assistant Repairman (Plumber/Welder), Assistant Carpenter, Assistant Upholsterer, Laundry Attendants, Galley Stewards, Storekeeper, Entry Level Cold Gallery, Entry level Hot Gallery, Entry Level Butchers, Entry Level Pastry/ Bakers, Restaurant Attendants/ Assistant Waiters, Bar Utility/ Bar Waiter / Bar Tender (Previous Skip Experience, Preferable), Public Area Attendants, Cabin Stewards (Previous Shipboard Experience), Cruise Staff, Sport staff, Youth Staff, Casino (All positions – Dealers, Slot Tracks, Cashier, etc), Culinary (Chef Positions), Housekeeping (Supervisor and Management), Cruise Staff (Technicians: Light, Sound, etc), as well as Photo (Manager, Photographer, Studio Artist).

Please note that Applicants who previously signed up at the MAMPA job fair in February, and have not yet been interviewed, will be interviewed on May 9 to May 11 as well.

All successful candidates will be given a job letter on the day of interview and the cost of medical, visa and flight to Barbados Will be covered by the cruise ship.
