Mikyle Louis looks forward for his second test series, named in squad against South Africa

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Kittitian star cricketer, Mikyle Louis has been named in the West Indies test squad for South Africa series after impressive debut against England. The knock of 57 runs in the third match of the debut series has raised huge expectations from the cricketer.

In his debut series, the player scored 162 runs in total with scoring 27, 14, 21, 17, 29 and 57 runs. His debut against England was highly appreciated by the citizens of the country. They lauded him for showcasing remarkable skills and abilities which also helped him in earning a place in the squad so that he can lead country towards victory in such challenging series against South Africa.

Notably, West Indies will play three test games against South Africa from 7^th – 19^th August 2024. The first test match has been scheduled to take place at Queen’s Park Oval of Trinidad and Tobago. On the other hand, Guyana’s National Providence Stadium will host the second and third match of the series.

The other players who have been selected for the series against South Africa include, Kraigg Brathwaite, Alick Athanaze, Shamar Joseph, Justin Greaves, Gudakesh Motie, Mikyle Louis, Jason Holder, Tevin Imlach, Jomel Warrican, Jayden Seales, Kemar Roach, Bryan Charles, Joshua Da Silva, Keacy Carty and Kavem Hodge.

Moreover, Kraigg Brathwaite has been announced as the Captain of the West Indies against South Africa and Joshua Da Silva will be the Vice Captain of the series. As, Alzarri Joseph has been rested for this series because of the workload so the team management is optimistic that he will return with his peak performance.
