Irfaan Ali attends multiple meetings in Saint Lucia, benefitting both nations

Prime Minister Philip J Pierre expressed his delight at the visit of Guyana President Irfaan Ali in Saint Lucia as he addressed the joint parliament session on Wednesday. His visit embarked a strong relation between the two nations.
It is to be noted that President Ali addressed several meetings, while being in Saint Lucia.
The leader of Saint Lucia noted “We are excited to have him”, when he was asked about the visit of President Ali. On the same day, Guyana President also delivered address in the Saint Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture during a productive luncheon.
The meeting featured a discussion about the business opportunities in Guyana and he also encouraged the people to expand their business in his country. He underlined the importance of deeper relations between both nations and encouraged cooperation in trade, manufacturing and distribution.
As per sources, it has been noted that the country has experienced a spike in the economy under the leadership of President Ali. He had a warm welcome at Saint Lucia’s 45th Independence anniversary celebration. While being at Independence Day, he also addressed Chamber of Commerce.
“His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali will speak on Opportunities to Do Business in Guyana”, a Chamber release added.
It is a matter of great joy that both the nations have enjoyed a long-standing friendship and support each other in every possible manner.
“There was a lot of movement. Saint Lucians went to Guyana and then Guyanese came to Saint Lucia”, PM Pierre recalled.
Moreover, the leader of Guyana spoke to the Chamber’s business leaders about the opportunities, insights, plans and ideas for the Guyana economy and also shared that how the people of Saint Lucia become a part of its growth and success.
Apart from this, President Ali had also hosted a meeting with the Guyanese community in Saint Lucia on Wednesday at the Financial Centre from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
According to the notice, the meeting opened discussions on important developments taking place in Guyana and matters of concern to members of the Guyanese and Saint Lucia community.
Noting this, the meetings are expected to bring positive outcomes and offer a special opportunity for enhancing, learning and networking between the communities.
Such events strengthen the bilateral relations of Saint Lucia and Guyana. President Ali took an opportunity to engaged in talks with the private sectors as well on the island.
The citizens across the Guyana lauded the hard work of their President and wished him luck for his upcoming projects. While reacting to the news, a person named Quincy George commented, “One of the best leaders we have seen in the Caribbean in recent times. May the Almighty bless the people of Guyana and also the people of St Lucia. Happy Anniversary.”
