Bahamas: Flamingo Air inaugurated its non-stop services to Central and South Eleuthera on Friday, with two flights touching down at the Rock Sound Airport. The management of the airline aims to enhance the growth of Eleuthera and bring large number of tourists to the island nation.
A short ceremony was conducted in order to welcome the airline and during the ceremony, the Member of Parliament Central and South Eleuthera, and Minister of Works and Family Island Affairs Clay Sweeting shared that the introduction of the airline into the Rock Sound will enhance the overall business of the place.
Notably, the airline will operate its services on four days i.e. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. These services will play a huge role in providing full-time jobs and contractual work opportunities to the citizens. Along with that, it will also enhance the foreign and domestic tourism and other components that will directly elevate the economy of Eleuthera.
Moreover, Clay Sweeting noted that they have hired all the talented Bahamians who will operate the airline at the Rock Sound Airport. He also praised Flamingo Airline for its excellent performance and dedication to transportation in the Bahamas.
He further asserted that he finds the long-standing business relations between Flamingo Air’s President Raymond Meadows, and CEO Vincent Colebrook impressive. He also noted that their relationship is an exemplary model for all the entrepreneurs of the Bahamas who are aiming to seek sustainable success.
He also reiterated the unwavering commitment and dedication of the administration towards improving the airports on Eleuthera and elevating the tourism sector to greater heights.
Moreover, the CEO of the airline, Vincent Colebrook asserted that he is looking forward to contribute to the growth and development of Eleuthera in a meaningful way.
Also, the airline was established in Freeport, Grand Bahama in 1996 with one five-seater aircraft. And, now the aircraft has a growing fleet with flights into the Exuma Cays, Andros, Bimini and charter flights throughout the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands.
