Dominica: Summer Daybreak Breakfast Fete Weekend returns; celebrates music and local cuisines

Roseau, Dominica: The highly anticipated Weekend, the 8th edition of Summer Daybreak Breakfast Fete Weekend has been kicked off with Breakfast Fete Lighting Parade. This four-day event, effective from 9th August, promises to offer delicious delicacies and a night filled with fun, music, excitement, and good food to all attendees.

The Breakfast Fete Lighting Parade offers a plethora of experiences to all its visitors and brings the island nation alive with the rhythms and melodies of the spectacular festival. The parade took place at LALAY Grandbay and offered all the attendees with the electrifying musical performances of the artists including, TK International ASA Bantan, Flag Wavers, LAPO Kabwit and Groups.

The Parade was followed by Pre Breakfast fete party which took place at Samo’s Bar Highland Grand Bay. And, today, the organizers will host 8thAnnual Summer DayBreak Breakfast Fete 2024, the visitors will get an opportunity to explore the vibrant festivities of the country. Along with that, it is a great platform for the attendees to enjoy the electrifying music of the artists like DJ King Kembe of St Maarten, The First Serenade Band, Legendary DJ Cut, King Dice, Jixel (Gwada) and many others.

On 11th August, the island nation will host Dancehall meets Soca from 7 pm to 2 am at Backstreet Lime Bar. It is an event that is all set to make attendees dance to their tunes on the enthralling music performances of Caribbean artists. The final day of the fete weekend will conclude with Breakfast Fete Island Tour Wet Fete (Laley). The attendees have been asked to wear a Pink top, Pink Crocs, Pink Bathing Suit, Pink Hat, Pink Pants, or mix and match with Pink.

While extending welcome to the citizens of the country, the tourism authority has asked all the local citizens and tourists to get ready for an electrifying weekend of music, dancing, and cultural celebration as the Commonwealth of Dominica gears up to host the highly anticipated 8thAnnual Summer Daybreak Breakfast Fete 2024.

This fete weekend is set against the stunning backdrop of Grand Bay, Dominica and promises to be a feast for the senses, with a special emphasis on the colour pink. While shedding light on the colour Pink, the organizers of the event stated that it would infuse every aspect of the festivities and would play a huge role in creating a visually striking and unforgettable experience.

The Dominica Ministry of Tourism also added that Breakfast Fete is not just a show but a party. Therefore, they have invited to come out, have fun, stay safe, enjoy every moment. They have also asked all the attendees to come back to Dominica for World Creole Music Festival from 25th October to 27thOctober 2024.

World Creole Music Festival is the annual three-day event that is hosted in Dominica that celebrates the indigenous music of the Nature Island.
