The highly anticipated event of the year, “Caribbean Clash of the Champions”, is scheduled on November 5, 2023, in South Dakota. This event is all set for a clash between noted drivers and riders and thrill the audiences with exceptional motor racing.
This event will put on display, the tough rivalry between the competitors. This event will include participants from the Caribbean, including Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad. Participants from Canada, USA and the U.K will also take part in the thrilling event.
ENet is slated to be the title sponsor of the Caribbean Clash of Championships. ENet CEO Vishok Persaud showed his excitement to be the event’s title sponsor, calling it a great opportunity for all parties involved. He also added that they are pleased with the new format of Guyana Motor Racing and with the proposal for a Sports Club.
Caribbean Clash of the Champions is one of the most fantastic races of the year. It will consist of four power-packed categories, which include Caribbean motor racing legends Mark Vieira, Andrew King and Kevin Jeffrey of Guyana, Mark Maloney of Barbados, Doug ‘Hollywood’ Gore of Jamaica, Franklin Boodram of Trinidad and Tobago and team CAMS’ Chris Lall, Mohan Rangasammy, Lenny Samaroo, Mark Samaroo and Neil Persaud.
A press conference was held to allow the fans to get a glimpse of their favourite stars and know more about the event, on Wednesday, October 18.
With reference to the courses, it was said at the conference that the tracks have improved exponentially from previous editions of the race. The improved tracks will provide the spectators with an enthralling experience. Various models, namely Mark Maloney’s turbocharged RX3, Vieira’s 20B rotary RX8, Vishok’s KTM X- BOW, Kevin Jeffrey’s Evo 8 and many more vehicles will be seen racing in this clash.
Vishok also added that this event will be enjoyed by the lovers of motorsport in Guyana and the entire region.
Kevin Jeffrey was elated when he spoke about his vehicle, nicknamed the “Bush Cow”. He mentioned the work put into it to enhance the car, which now gets a new, improved, more powerful engine. He also added that Race Car driver, Kristian Jeffrey, will not be available for this event.
Club Captain Mark Vieira, focused on safety, highlighting the track’s preparation. He said that it had been prepared carefully, prioritizing the safety of all the racers.
Kevin Persaud claimed that the Superbike category will have the largest grid ever in this championship. Until now, 21 participants have registered themselves for the competition from Guyana, the UK, the US, and Trinidad and Barbados.
This Clash of champions will witness a fierce competition between the riders with the facility of improved and better-conditioned tracks.
