Barbados to experience sunny weather with light to moderate showers

Georgetown, Barbados: Barbados may experience sunny weather with cloudy periods and a few brief light to moderate showers starting today at around 6:00 am.

Winds: Winds are forecasted to be gentle, and an easterly breeze could be experienced from 20 to 30 km/h (12 to 19mph).

Marine update

The forecast for moderate open water with northerly swells is expected to span between 1.5 to 2.5 meters (5 to 8 ft) and increase.

The warning has been given to Sea bathers and small craft operators to exercise carefully.

Weather from 6:00 pm

As per CBC News Barbados, people are expected to witness sunny with cloudy periods and a few brief light to moderate showers.

Seas are forecasted to be moderate during the night in open waters with northerly swells, which will range from 2.0 to 2.5 meters (7 to 8 ft) and increase.

It is to be noted that the small craft and sea bathers will remain under awareness during the exercise.

However, the Atlantic high-pressure system remains the dominant feature.

Air quality

The air quality is generally acceptable for the majority of people; however, the sensitive groups may face minor to moderate symptoms from long-term exposure.

Notably, there is no high chance of isolated thunderstorms or flash flooding in either the shelter or non-sheltered areas.

General weather Update

In December, there is a 43 per cent chance of a perfect sunny day and a 57 per cent chance of experiencing a blend of sunshine and clouds with an average of 42mm of rainfall.

Notably, the sea temperature is generally forecasted to be around 28 degrees Celsius, while its humidity is high. One can expect 11 hours of daylight each day with eight hours of sunshine.

Additionally, during this month, the weather is a bit cooler, which could reach a high of 29 degrees Celsius during the day and dip to a pleasant 23 degrees Celsius at night.
