Antigua and Barbuda: Five Islands Primary School to feature lecture theatre, classrooms and sports facility

The construction of the new Five Islands Primary School is underway in Antigua and Barbuda as announced by the Government of the island nation. This rehabilitation process of the school will include a new administrative building, classrooms, lecture theatre and a sports facility, aiming to provide enhanced environment and facilities to all the students and teachers.
As per the details, this construction represents the first phase of the development of the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus project. It is an 80 million US dollar project which has been funded through a loan from the Saudi Development Fund.
The Government of Antigua and Barbuda shed light on these expansions and stated that it would play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall environment of the facility.
The Education Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Daryll Matthew shared the glimpses of the ongoing transformation of the school. He stated that the completion of the project would play a huge role in advancing the education sector and would provide access to better resources for the students.
He added that the project supported by the Saudi Development Fund marks a new collaboration towards broadening educational advancements in the island nation.
Moreover, the Government added that these expansions of the school would also generate large number of job opportunities, addressing the unemployment gap in the country. While shedding light on these educational services, the authorities noted that they are committed to enhance educational infrastructure.
They added that these expansions will provide a conducive and comfortable environment for all the students and these well-equipped and advanced facilities would help in creating a positive atmosphere that encourages active learning and engagement.
The Government also added that the completion of the school will play a huge role in attracting more students by offering them exceptional offerings.
The Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne also reiterated his commitment to give the students with proper and advances access to all the tools and resources they need to learn in engaging and interactive manner.
