20-year-old Isaiah Alexander killed in car crash in Couva
A 20-year-old man was killed in a car crash in Couva while a 16-year-old brother was driving a Nissan Wing road when he hit a speed bump and lost control of the car, crashing into a utility pole and two houses.

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago: The 20-year-old man was killed in a car crash in Couva on Thursday, November 30, 2023.
The deceased was identified as Isaiah Alexander of June Street, Couva.
Reportedly, around 11:25 pm, Alexander’s 16-year-old brother was driving a Nissan Wing road along Perseverance Road when he hit a speed bump and lost control of the car.
Due to this, the moment led to crashing into a utility pole and two houses. It is to be noted that a 16-year-old was in the front passenger seat, sustained serious injuries and died at the accident scene.
Notably, the police and the emergency health services were informed regarding the matter, and as soon as they reached the scene, they took Alexander to the Couva Hospital, where he was treated.
A DMO also paid their visit to the scene; they reviewed the body of a 20-year-old man, made a pronouncement, and ordered the removal.
It is to be added in the remarks of officials that a total of 93 persons have died as a result of road traffic accidents for the year thus far.
Additionally, such cases need to be treated immediately, as the last fatal accident took place on Sunday, November 26, 2023.
In the above-mentioned case, a man named Samuel Wilkinson of Milford Road, Hampden, in Lowlands, Tobago, lost his life while trying to cross the Claude Noel Highway.
Police officials are investigating the matter, and people are expected to be more careful while driving on the highway. It is to be advised to all the natives that they shouldn’t allow their children of underage to drive cars or any other vehicle.
One should always take their hands on vehicles after getting driving training. If citizens witness any accident around them, they should inform the officials and nearby hospitals to handle the matter.
