Grenada’s Teddy Bishop to represent West Indies against Australia
Grenada’s cricketer, Teddy Bishop got his maiden call-up for the West Indies Senior team for three ODIs against Australia. The series will be played from 2nd to 6th February 2024.

Grenada’s cricketer, Teddy Bishop, got his maiden call-up for the West Indies Senior team for three ODIs against Australia. The series will be played from 2nd to 6th February 2024.
Notably, the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Senior Selection Panel has announced the list of the players who have been selected for the three-day series against Australia.
Along with Teddy Bishop, one more player is all set for his debut against Australia, Tevin Imlach. Tevin Imlach is a wicketkeeper batsman from Guyana.
The West Indies Cricket highlighted the reason for the player’s selection and stated that Bishop has impressed with his performance in the recent CG United Super 50 Cup and the Academy series against Ireland. Meanwhile, Imlach has played 26 List A matches and has shown his worth to deserve a chance on the team.
The players who are selected in the ODI squad, namely,
- Shai Hope has also been named as the captain of the team.
- Alzarri Joseph, he’ll be the Vice-captain of the team.

Schedule for the West Indies ODI Series
The first ODI match will be conducted on 2 February 2024 at Melbourne Cricket Ground. According to the local time, the match will begin at 2:30 pm and 12 am in the Eastern Caribbean and 11 pm in Jamaica.
The second match of the ODI series is scheduled to take place at Sydney Cricket Ground on 4 February 2024. As per the local time, the starting time of the match is 2:30 pm, 12 am in Eastern Caribbean and 11 pm in Jamaica.
The third and final match of the series will take place on 6 February 2024 at Manuka Oval, Canberra. The starting time of the match as per local time is 2:30 pm, 12 am in the Eastern Caribbean and 11 pm in Jamaica.
Moreover, the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture of Grenada has extended congratulations and best wishes to the players for getting selected for the series.
Along with that, the Grenada Cricket Association has also showered its blessings on Teddy Bishop for his selection. The association stated that this news truly gives a sense of pride to the members of the island nation’s cricket association.
Meanwhile, the GCA Vice President stated that “Teddy Bishop’s selection should serve as the motivation to many other young cricketers of the island nation. He also added that through hard work, determination and support, the youngsters can also achieve their cricketing goals.”
