Grenada Tourism Authority CEO, Petra Roch claims Director of Tourism Award 2024
The Caribbean Tourism Organisation awarded Petra Roch, the CEO of Grenada Tourism Authority with the Director of Tourism award 2024.

The Caribbean Tourism Organisation awarded Petra Roch, the CEO of Grenada Tourism Authority with the Director of Tourism award 2024. The award was presented to her at the Women’s leadership breakfast, which is a part of CTO Caribbean week of activities and was conducted with a vision to recognize the invaluable contributions of women towards promoting tourism industry of Caribbean region.
The CTO Caribbean Week is a significant initiative which was commenced in New York on Monday, bringing several tourism officials together and engage in several meetings and media interviews in order to elevate the tourism sector of the Caribbean region.
Following the award, Petra Roch, extended gratitude on receiving this recognition and lauded the entire team working at the Grenada Tourism Authority. She stated that this award is a collective effort of all the officials who have been instrumental in fostering growth and elevating tourism sector of the island nation.
She further noted that she has always been passionate towards inspiring other women to take bold and crucial steps to lead their nation towards growth and development. She stated that they are making continuous efforts in order to create a thriving, inclusive and sustainable tourism that benefits all Caribbean nations for several years to come.
Moreover, Kaitlyn McNab, the news editor of Teen Vogue’s Entertainment received the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Media Award in the category ‘Personal Immersive Story’ for her immersive feature; ‘Grenada’s Spicemas Revolutionalized the Way I Think About My Blackness and My Body.”
She penned down that piece in August 2023 and was borne out of the Spicemas press Trip experience that McNab was part of. She presented that story in collaboration with Grenada Tourism Authority and Industry 360 Ltd. founded by Tenille Clarke of Chambers Media Solutions and Melissa Noel of Mel&N Media.
The CEO, Petra Roach, extended congratulations to Kaitlyn McNab on winning the Caribbean Media Award. She noted that Kaitlyn’s story is an example of the lasting impact of Grenada’s Spicemas experience. She further remarked that Spice Isle is an outstanding crown jewel of the Caribbean that changes the lives of everyone for the better whosoever touches these shores.
